"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort...." 2 Corinthians 1:3 (NIV)
Don't you love getting back into your own home after a vacation? There's just nothing like your bed...your favorite chair...and familiar surroundings. It is such a comfort.
We have a Heavenly Father who waits for us. His arms are our "home". He is the "God of all comfort"...knowing just what we need...just what makes us feel secure. He is always there. His love never fails. As the old hymn says, "Softly and tenderly [He] is calling, 'Come home.'"
Father God, thank You for being our place of comfort...our place of rest...our place of security...our source of unending, unfailing love. Help us to relax in Your arms. We love You.
